film poster - Bradley Mills

I haven't been as directly involved in the producing of the Film poster as id like to have been due to spending allot of time editing, however from what i have seen and have tried to communicate with my team members I am not convinced by what we have produced so far, I do not feel as if the Title should be hiding the characters face i believe that every significant image on the poster should have its own space, rather than being piled on top of each other, I believe that the dimensions of our poster are not correct either and this needs to be corrected.

My other issues with the poster is particularly the 'BBC films' block at the bottom, I feel that if your going to have a block like this on a poster it should be more transparent and should either be in a corner or the block has to continue across the entire bottom of the poster,

This (Thor poster) is one of the few examples of where i feel text over the face, (which is the key image of the poster) i feel almost ruins the image, however although there is text on the face, the text does not cover the characters eyes.

I believe that we should re shoot our poster so we have more 'empty space' to work with which can be used to add text such as with this poster for the film 'Pearl Harbor'
The key imagery in this poster is all in the middle, due to the long shot at a low angle, there is 'Empty' space below with the grass, where they have placed there credit blocks and title, and empty space above the airplanes and the dark clouds in order to place a tag line and  the director in white text so that it  stands out,

I feel that our poster shot doesn't allow for us to experiment too much with our picture, I don't particularly feel as if the group listened to my concerns about lighting, location and the possibility of using green screen, and most importantly the framing isnt great, and doesn't allow for much 'Empty space' where the top of my head is cut out.

We should possibly experiment more with the color of our picture by adding maybe a blue tint to connote police involvement, or possibly experimenting more artistically with our background rather than just using a brick wall.

  1. There is still no final poster here. You have missed the deadline for this on the 10th. Where is it? It appears that you will be losing marks for time management.

  2. There is also no final review here either! What is going on? It would be sad if you threw away marks at this late stage.
